Simply Put was Blue-Eyed Charlie's first album.  Released in late 1999, the album is a compilation of mostly mellow acoustics, employing Charlie's Martin 0018 guitar along with occasional accompaniment of Native American flute.

                                                                            Selections range from mellow and melodic (On the Trail and The Long Way Home, for example) to quick and robust (Clapper).  Spring Storm exhibits quite a range as a storm builds and dissipates.  Athough the album is mostly instrumental, Charlie adds his mellow vocals on four of the selections.
